Forget Bridezilla, Watch out for the Bridesmaids!

It’s your special day but, did someone forget to tell your Bridesmaids?

Keeping your bridesmaids happy and getting what you want on your special day is something brides often struggle with.  Brides and bridesmaids often buttheads over one key element …the bridesmaid dress.

Here are some tips for a peaceful and stylish resolution!

If you’re going to have your bridesmaids in the same dress, try to pick out something that is flattering on everyone.  Look for empire waist and cocktail to floor length dresses.  Tea length is hard to pull off with varying heights.

Here are some styles that work on all body types.

The high neck covers all bust types and the ribbon  around the waist emphasizes the natural waist line.

You can’t go wrong with a long, simple strapless gown.   Everything from the neckline to the fabric choice will keep your bridal party happy and smiling on your special day.

Bridesmaid dresses with fuller skirts are flattering all body types as well.  The fuller skirt can hide larger lower halves, the part of a woman’s body that she is most insecure about.

Some other tips to keep in mind:

- A dress that looks great on your one friend that went shopping with you that day might not look as great on your friend living 8 hours away. Send your long distance friend the style number of the dress and see if she can locate it in a local bridal shop to try it on and see the fit for herself.

- Order all your dresses together and from the same place if possible so that the color of the fabric will be as close as possible.

- You could also choose a color and look and let your bridesmaids choose the neckline of their own dress.  The wedding party still looks put together but each bridesmaid feels beautiful and like themselves.

- Lastly, all of these tips are great ways to keep your bridesmaids happy, but don’t forget it’s your day.  Pull the bride “card” if needed.  It’s your way or the highway!
